Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they see that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is normal for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating rules for patrons. Supervisors will also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have leadership qualities and above average communication skills. They need these abilities both to supervise staff accurately and to greet gamblers in order to promote return visits. The Majority of casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, almost all supervisors gain experience in other gaming occupations before moving into supervisory positions because knowledge of games and casino operations is important for these employees.
